On Saturday watching SNL perform the show on Zoom was a treat and as always, some sketches were good, some not so good, but as a reminder to all of us they paid tribute to their Composer Hal Willner who passed away this past week and that he would be surely missed.

The song they chose was “A Perfect Day” and they did it well.

It is such a pretty song with some sentimental thoughts.

Originally the song was released by Lou Reed who passed away in 2013 from Cancer. Lou was a born and bred New Yorker.

SNL reminded me of the song and I thought that perhaps you would enjoy its sentiments.
