Chantal is from Winnipeg, Manitoba.

At an early age Chantal would be constantly singing and learning guitar and piano and performing for friends and relatives.

By 1996, Chantal had released her first album “Under these Rocks and Stones”. Then in 1997 she released the same album in the U.S. to critical acclaim both in Canada and the U.S.

Chantal keeps surprising critics with her many enterprises and her various changes of artistic expression.

She began acting in a series of films and then she began producing a number of shorts and documentaries.

Chantal has released seven albums to date and has been awarded the Order of Canada and has won two Junos.
