Austin Richard Post known professionally as Post Malone is from Syracuse, New York.

He is rapper, songwriter and record producer.

He came up with his artistic name by using (I didn’t know that it was a thing) a Rap Name Generator to get to the name Malone. He then combined his family name Post with Malone and he thought that this sounds perfect. So, Post Malone was born.

After dropping out of college, he moved to Los Angeles.

A short time later along with some other rappers he formed the Record Company “BLCKVRD” and began making records.
