Whitehorse is from Hamilton, Ontario consisting of husband and wife team Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland.

Both were established musicians and singer / songwriters before they met although they heard about each other through industry channels.

When they met things went quite well for the two of them and shortly after they were married and now had the problem of individual careers.

They decided to form a duo as their voices blended and then they wanted a truly Canadian name. 

After some searching, they came up with Whitehorse a truly Canadian Yukon name.  In fact, the duo became so popular that Whitehorse, Yukon, decided to adopt them as their own.

The duo has two Junos on fifteen nominations.
