Formed at Newmarket, Ontario in 1983 as Tokyo, the group had some success with two songs that placed on the Billboard Top Ten, which brought them to the attention of producer Jim Vallance in 1986.

Vallance not only produced their album ‘The Thin Red Line’, he changed their name to Glass Tiger saying that the name would endear them to many new fans.

Alan Frew (Vocals), Jan Reid (Keyboards) Al Connelly (Guitar), Wayne Parker (Bass) Michael Hanson (Drums).

The lineup remained the same until the year 2000, when Drummer Hanson left the band (for health reasons) and was replaced by Drummer Chris McNeill. The lineup remains the same to this day.

Over the years the group has released eight albums and have won three Juno Awards.

Glass Tiger performs about 100 shows per year and have been celebrated all around the world.
