Paul Janz is from Three Hills, Alberta. He began his singing career at age ten singing Gospel with the local chapter of the Salvation Army.
His first instrument was the trumpet. He then took up the guitar because all his friends wanted to be rock stars.
In the early seventies he began a Gospel band Deliverance with his brothers and together they were quite successful for ten years, winning awards in Europe and the Commonwealth.
By 1984 he launched his solo career singing Pop and Ballads and again he was successful in Canada, U.S. and the Commonwealth as well as Europe.
In his solo career he recorded and released six albums with all being widely accepted by audiences all over the world.
By the early nineties Paul began to feel lost, that the music and fame left him hollow inside. he decided to go back to his roots and sing Gospel.
Paul also went back to school to study Theology. To date he has written several Christian themed books and eventually became a Professor of Theology at Trinity Western University at Langley, B.C.
Presently he is Professor Emeritus of Philosophical Theology and the head of the Department of Theology and Religious studies at King’s College, London, U.K.
