Bryan Guy Adams was born at Kingston, Ontario and his early life was filled with travel and new experiences as his father Conrad was serving in the Canadian Army giving Bryan various influences in music and culture.
By age seventeen Bryan was living at Vancouver B.C. (and Vancouver is still his home).
He set about introducing himself and playing as many clubs as would let him play.
He then became the lead singer of “Sweeny Todd” and he remained with Sweeny Todd until he met Jim Vallance of “Prism” in 1978, who became his writing partner and that partnership is still thriving to this date.
To date Bryan has released fourteen albums and has won twenty Junos, one Grammy, three American Music Awards, plus five Golden Globe nominations and three Academy Awards for his music soundtracks.
As well, he is on “Canada’s Walk of Fame”, “Hollywood Walk of Fame”, “Canadian Broadcast Hall of Fame” and the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
In addition, Bryan has been awarded “The Order of Canada”, “The Order of British Columbia” and the Governor General’s Performing Arts Award”.
An avid photographer, Bryan has received awards for his photography from all around the World. His photography has been showcased in various exhibitions and museums.
