Bruce Guthro was from Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia

He passed away on September 5.  He was 62.

The sad thing here is that it was not reported Nationally.

I guess Canadian entertainment shows were more interested in what was going on in New York and Los Angeles.

A really sad comment on Canadian priorities. In Cape Breton it was simply reported:

“Its with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Bruce Guthro plus the usual Biography.

Beside his solo career Bruce was Front man for the European Celtic Rock band “RUNRIG”… playing to sold out concerts.

When he was not touring, he stayed home in Sydney Mines with his wife Kim and his two children Dylan and Jodi.

He loved to cook and was famous for his breakfasts in his home town.

“When you came to eat…you came to eat”

He loved to play golf with his close friends and family and never thought of moving away from his beloved Cape Breton.

Canadians lost a true talent.
