Alphaville was formed at Munster, Germany in 1982.
“Forever Young” was released in 1983 and was a worldwide success.
The song came back in the nineties. People loved it.
It popped up in the OO’s — More sales.
Once again it rolled around in the teens.
Well it’s 2020 now and ” Forever Young ” is back again, extended, with a backbeat. I think the song will be around for another forty years.
Not only that, but you get to see Jennifer Connelly in her striking twenties being wooed by Frank Whaley from the film ” Career Opportunities” 1991.
Plot of the film: “Jim ” (he’s got a great name) and Josie are locked in accidently at a Target Store overnight.
Jim wants Josie, but Josie is already there. Jim’s poor. Josie is from wealth (Jim has great taste in women). Just a fun youth-oriented film.
The film clips were chosen for a reason.
I, Jim, love this song. And you should too.
I think that it speaks to our souls. It says something to each generation. Sit back and just listen. Float with it. Remember.
Also, Remember, that the song is asking you a question???
My wife says the song is popular because you really don’t believe that you are going to die until you are 25 years old.
Cathy may have a point.
