Natalie Maines, Martie Maquire and Emily Robison.

Most fans know of the trouble that the Band got into when Natalie made comments that the President didn’t like.

The controversy almost ruined their music career, they received death threats, their Music was banned from U.S. Radio their U.S. tour was cancelled and forced the band to tour Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

As well the controversy put pressure on the relationship between the three girls, and caused them not to speak with each other for some time.

Natalie was only exercising her right to Free Speech… to say what she was thinking.

The band essentially broke up. Marti and Emily released an album by themselves and then Natalie released an album. Both albums had mild success as some fans bought both albums.

Over the years, time heals all things. The band made some small tours.

This song ” Gaslighter ” from the new album of the same name shows the band in fine form and Natalie’s voice in perfect pitch.

This is their first album in seventeen years.

The band also changed their name to ” The Chicks “. Dixie was removed because of all the controversy surrounding the Confederacy and slavery.

A New Zealand Duo who owned the name ” the Chicks ” allowed the Band to use the Name.

I’ve sent Three songs this week to give you a small concert.

If they come to town ..Go buy a Ticket.

Be Well. Be Safe.

Enjoy
