Diana Krall is from Nanaimo, British Columbia and her early years were spent learning music and vocal lessons.

Diana’s father, Jim, played piano and her mother, Adella, sang in the community choir.

By the age of four, Diana was an accomplished pianist and by age fifteen she was playing jazz in local B.C. restaurants.

Her talent offered her a scholarship to the Berklee School of Music at Boston.

After graduation she headed to California and began playing in and around San Francisco.

In 1993 she came home to Canada and recorded her first album “Steppin Out” and it went straight to the top of the Billboard Jazz List. Every album she releases goes directly to the top of Billboard Jazz. Diana is without a doubt the number one female jazz singer in the world.

There is not much publicity that surrounds her because she likes it that way. A quiet normal life.

In 2003 Diana married Elvis Costello (I know! I had to think about that and to say that it ruined all my personal fantasies would be an understatement).

They have two sons Dexter and Frank.

To date Diana has released fourteen albums, all to critical acclaim.

She has won eight Juno’s on sixteen nominations and five Grammys on thirteen nominations.

Diana was awarded the order of Canada and the Order of British Columbia and she is on the Walk of Fame in Toronto.

Diana says, she never forgets that she is Canadian and is very proud to say so.
