Amanda Marshall is from Toronto, Ontario.
Having a normal upbringing, she studied music and voice at the Royal Conservatory of Music at Toronto and then she began singing in the bars and clubs on Queen St. West.
One evening while performing Jeff Healey was in attendance and was so struck by her powerful voice, that he signed her to tour with him, where for the next few years Amanda learned her craft.
Metalblade Records signed Amanda in 1991 and then in 1994 Epic Records signed to record a song for Neil Young’s “Borrowed Tunes Album” By 1994 she released het first full album and her career just took off and Amanda has been gaining new fans with each new album.
To date Amanda has released six albums all to critical acclaim.
