Bachman Turner Overdrive was formed at Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Randy Bachman, Robbie Bachman, Tim Bachman, Fred Turner and Blair Thornton.

BTO as they were affectionately called by their fans was one of those Canadian bands, that you knew the moment you saw them, you said in your head “This is a Canadian Band”.  

BTO, Steppenwolf and The Band just to name a few, looked liked they all stepped out of the Canadian Shield with a just in your face sound that said: “Yes were here, take notice now” and people all over the world did just that, Took notice.

After BTO’s first gig, Reprise Records signed the band to a contract.

The band is still touring.

Over the years BTO has released twenty-five albums.

They have been awarded four Junos and were nominated twenty times.

The band was inducted into the Canadian Music hall of Fame.
