The Duo was formed in Sydney, Australia in 1975.

Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock met on the first day of rehearsal for the Australian production of “Jesus Christ Superstar”. They became fast friends with their love of The Beatles and singing.

Working on songs on their off days they released “If You Know Me”.

It became number one in Australia and landed them a gig as opening act for Rod Stewart.

Rod was so impressed with the duo that he brought along on his tour of Canada and the U.S.

Their ballads are heartfelt songs and musically uplifting and their lyrics are pure poetry.

My favourite line in this song is: “My heart is beating like a drum and looking for a rhythm like you”.

It is pure magic in the lyrics and all their songs have these gems of word play that usually touch a string somewhere in the listener.

Air supply have been recording and touring for 43 years.

Their music is played all over the world.
