Leslie Feist was born at Amherst, Nova Scotia but her family then moved to Regina, Saskatchewan and then unto Calgary, Alberta.

Feist began her musical career with Broken Social Scene and then unto a variety of different acts including Peaches”; always honing her musical skills.

In 2002 Leslie Feist became Feist as she embarked on her solo career.

Her first album “Let it Die” sold worldwide and gave her the money and time to explore her musical choices.

Feist has a loyal fan base and her concerts are always sold out.

Feist was given an opportunity to study music in France where she learned the French and European approach to music construction. She struck up a friendship with a Norwegian Duo Kings of Convenience and she began to study the Scandinavian approach to music as well.

Feist is exploring various experimental approaches and styles to music and writing lyrics.

Feist has won five Juno awards. She appeared in seventeen films and is exploring the possibility of being an actress.

To date she has released five albums. Her latest (2017) is “Pleasure”.
