Dallas Smith from Langley B.C. began playing guitar at an early age and his influences range from the Beatles, BTO, as well as a variety of Country singers old and new. He says his favourite Country singer is Reba McEntire.
Dallas began his career playing Rock covers and a few Country songs mixed into his shows. It was at one of these shows that Joe Moi of 604 Records heard him and within a week signed him to a contract.
By age 21, he had released his first album ‘Just Jump In’, which climbed to number 19 and had five hit singles.
604 Records made a deal with Republic Nashville Records to record and promote the second album, ‘Lifted ‘. Dallas has not looked back since that time.
Many Nashville acts have covered and recorded many of his songs.
In 2016 Dallas released his third album ‘Side Effects’ and it became an instant best seller.
To date he has garnered two Juno’s and ten Country Music Awards.
The future is looking bright.
