World Party is from London, England.

The group began in 1986 and were active until the year 2000.

Over the fourteen years the band recorded five albums and toured extensively throughout Europe, North America and Australia and New Zealand.

World Party was always considered a ‘Working Band’ by many and they never seemed to achieve much publicity, but their fans will tell you: “You missed one great show”.

As a group they always seemed to be having a bit of a party on stage and in their video’s, to everyone’s delight.

The band had an unmistakable sound: “Joyous”. You always knew it was World Party. Just a great band that never got the attention that I think that they most assuredly deserved.
