Andy Youkim was born at Montreal, Quebec.

At an early age Andy was playing guitar and writing songs.

At age eighteen, Andy went to New York to begin a song writing career, as the Canadian Music industry was still in its infancy.

Andy made his way around New York and through sheer persistence met song writer Jeff Barry. In a short while the two became friends and began collaborating on writing songs for The Archies, Changes and The Monkees.

In the middle sixties Andy began recording and releasing his own songs.

He changed his name from Youkim to Kim because it sounded right.

His early songs such as “Be My Baby” were successful and had radio play time and gave Andy a platform to take his act on the road.

By 1972 Andy released “Rock Me Baby” and his career took off like  a rocket, touring North America, Europe and Asia.

By the eighties Andy was a celebrated success and did something unthinkable,

He changed his name to Baron Longfellow (no one really know why) and again he was a great success.

Today Andy is still touring under the name of Longfellow still writing songs, helping Canadian acts get started in the music business, and producing and arranging songs for various acts across North America.

To date Andy has recorded thirteen albums, won some awards and has been  inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
