Jullyann Inderia Gordon was born and raised at Toronto, Ontario and began singing in the choir of her Baptist church.

While attending College, Jully began singing in and around Toronto because she liked to sing and because she needed money for her College.

At age 21 Warner/Chapel Publishing heard her sing and signed Jully to a contract and released her first album. She changed her name to Jully Black to remind her of culture and heritage.

Jully has not looked back since that day. The girl can sing!

Jully still makes her home in Toronto and has her own Label Jully Black Entertainment.

Her company is always on the look out for talent in any genre and is always willing to help all young Canadian talent.

To date Jully has released five albums and two Commercial Mix Tapes. She has garnered eight Juno Awards and two Gemini Awards for her television work, as well as, many other awards both musical and Philanthropic from around the world.

CBC Music chose Jully as one of “The 25 Greatest Canadian Singers Ever”.

Jully is also known as Canada’s “Queen of R& B “.
