The Four lads were formed at Toronto in 1948 and all were members of St. Michaels School Choir. Practicing school songs, they realized that they had a great chemistry together and began singing the top hits of the day.
Originally, they called themselves The Four Dukes but on gig to Detroit they found that another group had that same name so they changed their name to the Four Lads on the spot and never looked back about the name change.

Connie Cadarini (Bass), Bernie Toorish (Tenor), Jim Arnold (Lead) and Frank Busseri (Baritone)
While touring Mitch Miller noticed them and asked the group to back up some of his singers in New York. One singer Johnny Ray was a U.S. star and the Four Lads can be heard singing backup on his first two albums.
In 1952 they released their first hit single ‘The Mockingbird’ and the rest is musical history.
The group as active from 1950 until 1976 when they stopped touring.
Over the years they released nine albums had numerous hits and were celebrated throughout the U.S. and Canada.
All members have since passed away but the Four Lads have left us a musical legacy.
The Four Lads are in the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in Pennsylvania.
