Susan Jane ‘Suzie’ McNeil is from Mississauga, Ontario.

Suzie played guitar and piano and harmonica from an early age.

She played with friends in Jam Sessions and sang a little while  attending school and doing all the normal things, like getting a job and living her life, and not thinking too much about a musical career.

In 2005, at age thirty, Suzie took stock of herself and decided that she wanted something more for her life. She left her job and started to audition as a backup singer and by 2007 she was singing backup for Pink .

While on tour in Los Angeles she met record producer John Kalonder, who like her voice and decided to give her an opportunity and produced her first album “Broken and Beautiful”, which had the hit song “Believe” on it.

The album went Gold and Suzie was on a solo career.

“Believe” was also used as the promo for the hit reality show “The Biggest Loser”.

To date Suzie has recorded three albums and won a Juno for Best New Artist.
