Fleetwood Mac was formed in in 1967 at London England as a Blues Band.
Mick Fleetwood ( Drums ) John McVie ( Bass ) Peter Green ( Guitar ) Jeremy Spencer ( Guitar ) Danny Kirwan ( Guitar )
The band had some success but changes are inevitable as musical tastes and personalities come head to head.
The band by 1974 consisted of Mick Fleetwood ( Drums Vocals ) and John McVie ( Bass Vocals )
Mick decided that the band would reform and play a more Rock style brand of music.
John’s wife Christine McVie ( Keyboards Vocals ), joined the band as a full member. She had played with the band on Recording sessions and sometimes as an extra musician on European tours.
The band needed a Lead Guitarist . Mick knew that Lyndsay Buckingham was available but he wouldn’t join the band unless his girlfriend Stevie Nicks ( Lead Vocals ) was offered a place with the band.
The rest is history as they say. Fleetwood Mac became a Supergroup.
The problem they had was Lyndsay as he was never quite settled and he left the band and then came back then left again and then came back to the band. By 2017 Lyndsay had left for good.
Mike Campbell ( Heartbreakers ) replaced Lyndsay in 2018 as Lead Guitarist and Neil Finn ( Split Enz ) from New Zealand was also added as a Rhythm Guitarist.
If you go to a concert you will never be disappointed as they are one of the tightest musical bands that you will ever want to hear.
” The Chain “is indicative of their musical brand. This is just a great tune.
Enjoy
