Formed in Vancouver B.C. in 1977, Doug and the Slugs had a hard time getting gigs, because Club owners were worried about the name of the band.

The name was too Bikey or some such nonsense.

Doug Bennett, John Burton, Drew Neville, Dennis Hamilton, Lawrence MCGillvery and Simon Kendall.

Doug and the Slugs became the most distinctive and entertaining Canadian band in the last 30 years ever to emerge on the scene.

You just feel good listening to their music.

Lead singer Doug Bennett passed away in 2004 from Cancer but the band with some added members still tours on.
