Joanna Conner was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and raised at Worchester, Massachusetts, then in 1984 she moved to Chicago, which is now her permanent base.

Joanna threw herself in the blues and has shared the stage with numerous Blues acts. The big secret is that the acts wanted to share the stage with her.

To date she has recorded twelve albums and there seems to be no slow down in her schedule.
