The Strumbellas were formed in Toronto, Ontario in 2008 and have created a new sound wave for new bands to follow.

Simon Ward (Guitar, Vocals), Dave Ritter (Guitar, Vocals), John Hembrey (Lead Guitar), Isabel Ritchie (Violin), Darryl James, (Bass) and Jeremy Drury (Drums).

By 2009 the group released their first EP which garnered them a following and a house gig at Cameron House in Toronto.  This brought them to the attention of Six Shooter Records and Ryan Hadlock producer.

Their next album “We still Move on Dance floors” garnered them a Juno.

Stephan Colbert liked the band so much, that he requested that they come on his show and showcase their talents across the U.S.

To date the Strumbellas have won three Junos, one I Heart Music Award, three Canadian Music Awards and two Independent Canadian Music Awards.
